For instance if you have a nVidia card you can use these steps. For ATI you would go to your Catalyst Control Center. Monitor settings seem okay for all other projects. If neither of those work for you, you've got a bigger problem on your hands. Too funky looking, bulky and can't view multiple files. One nagging issue for many users has been adjusting the brightness in Media Player Classic.
I think it's a problem with Windows Media Player or the DivX codec (maybe RealPlayer uses a different DivX than WMP). #3 dukdukgoos, May 16, 2001 (You must log in It's almost like the videos i play are stuck in black and white or black and gray. At the moment, it's even too dark for that - playback is very red. If it's not there then ffdshow isn't decoding it.

Use ffdshow and use its levels or picture properties tabs. Preview allows you to check out .dat files that are downloading to make sure they are what they say the are.
